I have had these sititng in my garage for what seems like forever. My mother-in-law gave them to me because she didn't have anywhere she could use them. I thought they were really nice but I couldn't think of anywhere to use them either. The finish wasn't really my style so I decided to give them a coat of white spaypaint and then see if I could find a place for them. I decided to put them above our pantry door and store closet door in our kitchen. I thought about glazing them to make the details pop but I'm not sure yet.
Here they are before, not too bad...

and after!

They look beautiful this way! How great that you saw the potential in these little beauties! :) And that's a great place for them, too. The look great, even without any glaze! :)
Ooo! I love where you put them! They look so good there!
Great job!

The white really makes them - wait - here it comes - POP! I know we use that way too much, but it really works here. I love where you put them. You just might have inspired me for some similar plaques I have. Thanks!
Thank you! I agree with you about the white, I think it just looks fresh and clean! I think I will leave them that way :)
I *love* the white - they look perfect there :D
