I love apothecary jars and I love using white as an accent color so I thought, why not combine the two? My lovely in laws brought me this apothecary jar from the thrift store. He actually works at a thrift store and is able to get first dibs on most things that come in. Doesn't that sound like the best job in the world?!? Althought I love this jar just the way it is, I have a few others that are clear as well. I wanted this one to be different.
So...I grabbed some white spraypaint and got to work. I really like the way it turned out!

Love it. You just never look at things the same way once you have held a can of spray paint in your hands! Do you prime glass or just go for it? Thanks for sharing and inspiring.
I love it, it is gorgeous! I never think to paint glass or ceramics. Does the paint hold well? xx
I love apothecary jars to....clear or white.Trish
Completely GENIUS!
Seriously... when you don't know what to fill it with... just paint it, so you can see through!
lol
TOTALLY gonna have to remember this one!

ps. is there ANYTHING that white spray paint... CAN'T make look better!?
This came out better then great! You def. have the MIDAS touch girl :)
Great idea! I too have a few glass ones, but to make them white - brilliant. Did you prime the glass, paint the inside or outside?

Thank you all! I normally prime glass if it's going to get a lot of wear and tear but I didn't prime this one and it has held up really well so far. I think even if it gets a few chips of paint off it, it will just add a little character. I painted the outside this time because I didn't think I could fit the spraypaint nozzle all the way inside. I'm going to try to find one with a larger opening and paint the inside. I will let you know how it goes! :)
That's gorgeous. I definitely like it better painted. It looks like porcelain.
LOOOOOOVE!
