I have a thing for frames too, especially big, chunky ones. I had some of these sitting in my garage for a while and decided it was time to give them a little facelift. I actually kind of liked the gold on the first one, but thought silver would go better with my bedroom.

This is actually a fake fern leaf spraypainted white. I kind of like the monochromatic look of the white on white.
I'm not much of an artist but I painted this little tree for this frame to match our bedroom...
and for this one I used my "placemat stencil" that I used for this end table.
I'm glad they've found a home in my room and aren't just sitting out in the garage anymore. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

oh my goodness, you've got quite the eye for amazingness. that chunky frame is so cool! and what you put in each of them and how you transformed each one is just fantastic. i especially love the idea of the spray-painted fern leaf (since it's fake, even better, no wilting!). you've got awesome, awesome taste, my dear.
I'm seriously in love with the stenciled one! That is gorgeous!
I love those frames..I usually think of painting frames either black or white but the siver is stunning..love the fern. Now I know why I enjoy blogging so much...the willingness to share such fab ideas. Thanks Kym
You keep giving me so many fantastic ideas!! Thanks! I don't have any of my little stuff up on my blog yet but every so often I'll be sharing my thrift store finds and re-dos.
