Here's another take on the cake pedestals you've all seen in blog land. I did some like this last Christmas for gifts. Anyways, I started with these candle sticks from Goodwill ($0.99) and sprayed them glossy black to make them look like glass.
then I found these plates at the dollar store....
attached them with a little epoxy and voila! I had these cloches laying around, because I just love cloches, so I added them to the tops for a little extra interest....
and I found these cute little pumpkins at Walmart, I love the variation in color.
I plan to use these for a costume party we are having, I think the black will be great for halloween or any time of year for that matter!
they look great!
ReplyDeleteOk, where do you find tall cloches? I have the hardest time finding them? Love this idea!
ReplyDeleteYou never fail to work magic...love it.

Very fun! I love this!!
ReplyDeleteWe have a ton of those candle sticks at our goodwill and now I know how to use them! Did you prime them or just straight spray paint?
ReplyDeleteIt`s so simple but looking always great!;)
ReplyDeleteLovely greetings...
Thank you ladies! Amy, I found the really tall one at hobby lobby and I've seen a few at Marshall's from time to time. Megan, I just painted them without priming and it seemed to work fine.
ReplyDeletewow. what a cool idea!
