I'm running out of places in my house for new furniture. I have taken advantage of every possible space in my house to add new things. BUT, when I found this dresser I just knew I had to make space for it. I liked the sofa table behind our couch before, but it was pretty generic and lacking in the storage department. So, I thought why not add this dresser behind it? Great storage and something a little different. I love the pedestal legs it has, I think that keeps it looking less "dresser like." I tossed around the idea to paint it a bright bold color to make a statement, but then I chickened out settled on white. You can't go wrong painting something white. That way if or when I get tired of this I can simply move it to another room. So, now to the good stuff....
Before....
and after! I decided to keep the original pulls for the drawers because I thought they worked really well with the piece. (the ones on the top drawers are crooked in these pictures which I just noticed, but they just need to be tightened, oops...)
I immediately fell in love with these coral drawer pulls when I found them at anthropology...if you haven't figured it out yet, I've got a thing for coral....They didn't look quite substantial enough on their own so I got resourceful and found these toilet paper holder brackets in the garage that a friend had given me. You may be asking yourself why would anyone save those? I have no idea but I'm glad I did :) I took the base off and spray painted it gold and they work perfectly.
