I was blown away when I saw this. I have always been a fan of marble, but not so much a fan of the price tag. I think this is incredible. Danika took her drab countertops and turned them into a masterpiece using some faux painting techniques. It looks just like the real deal! I may just have to try this. This project comes to us from Danika at Gorgeous Shiny things. See the full post here. She is also doing a video tutorial this weekend so be sure to check that out too!

not crazy about the green subway tile border, but I'm loving the bold, fun pop of color in those chairs and light fixtures....

So would you try this DIY? I think I might just try it on a small end table.

This is amazing! I wouldn't even begin to know what to try to get this look though. I'm not so very talented like that lol.
ReplyDeleteThat's CRAZY! I can't believe that came out so well! Good job on her part for being brave enough to try something like this. I'm jealous.
ReplyDeleteWow. Normally faux treatments look, well, fake. This is very impressive! I wonder how she sealed it to make it last? I guess I can go check her blog.
ReplyDeleteWow that is AMAZING!!! I honestly can't believe it's not the real thing!
ReplyDeleteI know! I'm not normally a big fan of faux treatments either but this one blew me away.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Bethany!
ReplyDeleteThat is so amazing! I am shocked by how it came it out.
