Martha Stewart Paints

I popped into Home Depot yesterday to grab a few DIY supplies and stumbled upon this great selection of paints from Martha Stewart.  It seems like just the right size to paint a small piece of furniture or some accessories you may want to update.  I grabbed the aged gold for a project I'm working on; I'll let you know how it works.  They had several different finishes; bold, shimmery, and even glazes.  They ranged from around $5-$6 which I didn't think was too bad at all.  Have you seen these paints from Martha?  or given them a try?  I'll be sure to update you with how my little projet turns out.

I have tried her paint. I used the Precious Metals glaze for a light blue I did in the dining room. It turned out beautiful and not too shiny. However, I used the Potters Clay glaze for the bathroom. Disaster. It is a dark green and the base took a bazillion coats to get even as well as the glaze. I love the colors in her line and the paint is low fume which is nice

I LOVE her paint! The smell isn't too bad and was gone in less than 6 hours! I haven't used it on any projects....just walls.

I've used all her paint. I have to say I wanted to like the paint but, really i was in love with the colors. I usually get a tester and get it matched with Behr. In my experience I found I needed not just 2 coats but, 3! But I still match her colors. Then I moved on to her metallics. LOVE the silver but, the gold is a disaster. It doesn't have enough metallic in it for me. We had fun painting it on pillows, lamps. The silver was a blast. I haven't tried the potters clay though.

love ur blog!

I bought one of these to do a stenciling project and it was just the perfect amount and perfect color.

I bought 2 jars of the specialty paints. I think I know what I am going to use them on. I'll come back and leave a comment when I post my creation in a few days. :-) Love your blog- this is my first time here, but it won't be my last.

&i have used it! &i loved it!
i had some black picture frames and a large black mirror (everything in my house is bronze and brown) so i used her oil rubbed bronze color and added some brush marks to give it a rustic look turned out great!

I used the "Black Lamp" one to paint our main drain in the basement. Someone had spray painted it green long ago so it looked mouldy and icky (Technical terms). I love how it turned out! The sparkle black is totally unexpected on a drain pipe but for 6 bucks its no longer "icky" and I love it now!
