I think every room needs a little something from nature to bring the outdoors in. Unfortunately I am not so good with plants so I stick to things I can't kill, like faux succulents. The problem with fake faux floral stems is that they normally look cheap and plastic-y. I love the ones at Pottery Barn, but they will cost you a pretty penny. They actually inspired this DIY.
A few years ago I was planning a shower for a girl in our church and was trying to keep things as budget friendly as possible. So, I created some arrangements from sticks and faux dogwood flowers. They were a hit at the shower and only cost me around $10 for a ton of them. I took some home and used them as a centerpiece in my dining room for a while. This is a super old picture, but you get the idea. You can find the original post here.
So when it was time to update my home tour I used the same idea again. I picked up some flowers from Michaels, grabbed a glue gun and a few sticks from my yard and 5 minutes later I had floral stems that didn't look quite so fake. I think the branches are what help them look a little more realistic.
You can glue pretty much any flower to the branches and they look great! My wheels are spinning for some branches I can create for fall!
