I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Thanks for all your sweet comments on my last post, we are all finally on the mend!
I really enjoy DIYing things. It's mostly what this blog is about and what I do. I get a lot of joy out of being able to make something without spending a lot, but every now and then I get the itch to buy something new. Our dining room has been light-less for a few months now because I just couldn't decide what to do in there. My mom needed a larger scale light for her dining room so she's using the one that was previously in my dining room. The texture of it wasn't working for me in our dining room and it looks really nice in hers. It's nice being able to swap things around like that. So back to the dilemma, I really wanted to DIY something, but my mind was drawing a blank. I kept finding myself being drawn to beaded chandeliers. I know there are lots of DIY tutorials out there and I thought about trying my hand at one, but when I came across this beaded chandelier from world market I was smitten. The price was very reasonable (extra 10% off right now) for a chandelier of this type and according to the measurements it's a substantial size. When I weighed the cost of supplies and the time it would take me to make it, and the fact that it may end up looking like a DIY, I knew it would be better to go with the world market version. I just ordered it this past weekend so I haven't gotten it yet, but I'm so excited to see it in person (it's only available online) and get it installed. Of course I'll share some pictures when it comes in and let you know how it looks.
Here are some rooms that inspired me to go in this direction.
