First off, a huge thank you to Kirsten from 6th street design school for featuring my home tour. I'm still pinching myself over it. I've followed her blog for a long time and love it! If you, by chance, haven't checked out her blog you definitely should. You won't be disappointed!
Thank you all for your sweet comments on my fall home tour the other day. I have a little shortcut to share with you. I was scrounging around at the last minute trying to find something to put my mums in and nothing I could find was the right size. Ideally I wanted to find some vintage trophy cups or a champagne urn, but they just weren't in the budget. What was in the budget? Cardboard boxes. Yep, I found a leftover cardboard box and wrapped it right up to make the perfect planter. Obviously it's not waterproof so I wouldn't recommend watering your flowers while they're in there, but it's the perfect thing if you are looking to class things up a bit.
Find a box.
Wrap it up.
Insert your plant. I left mine in the pots they came in. Doesn't get much easier than that!
I bought this faux crocodile wrapping paper from Homegoods a few years back. Don't they have the best wrapping paper? I think it works well because it's more substantial than regular wrapping paper and creases nicely.
