Easy DIY Soap Dispenser

Maybe I'm the only one, but seeing the ugly dish soap bottle on the sink was driving me crazy.  Sure, we could put it under the sink and pull it out when we need it, but we use it a lot.  So I came up with a quick and easy solution to fix the problem.

I started with one of these bottles of flavored syrup.  My husband used to use them in his coffee all the time so I had an empty one that I was saving to do something with.  It just seemed like it would be good for something and it turns out it is!  I grabbed one of these syrup pumps from World Market for around $2.50.  You can find the syrup at World Market and I've also seen it a little cheaper at Marshalls/TJ Maxx from time to time.  You just want to make sure it will fit the pump.  I tried the pump with another bottle and it didn't fit so you're safe if you stick with the Torani brand (which is the one they sell at World Market).

It took a little elbow grease to get the labels off, but I might try this tip next time.  Then I made the "soap" label with my Silhouette machine.  If you don't have a silhouette, you can get a label pretty inexpensively on Etsy from sellers like this one (I've never used this shop before but I just did a quick search for vinyl labels and saw they offer custom ordering).  Or Julia may be able to make something custom for you!

I think the rest is pretty self explanatory.  Fill with soap, insert the pump, and there you have it.

And you already know this if you follow me on instagram (dwellingsbydevore) but I picked up these flowers at Trader Joe's the other day for $3.99 and they are so pretty!  After several days they are still going strong.  That's a whole lot of pretty for not a lot of money.
