the perfect brush for edging

I don't know about you, but I hate taping off walls for painting.  It just seems like it takes forever and I'm always itching to get started.  Well, when I was making over my sister's room I found the perfect solution and it doesn't involve taping.  I was standing in the paint aisle and I remembered reading this post about the perfect brush for edging.  I thought it sounded too good to be true or like you had to be super good with a paint brush for it to work, but I was tired and wanted to get this show on the road so I went for it.  They didn't have the exact brush that was mentioned at Home Depot so I went for one that looked really similar and crossed my fingers.  I did buy some back up tape just in case things went south, but I was so amazed at how well it worked.  I almost patted myself on the back thinking maybe I had developed a steady hand after years of painting, but I switched to a different brush about halfway through just to see and it was awful.  I have to give credit to the brush.  It was definitely worth the $5 investment!

I found mine at Home Depot but it looks like they sell the same one on Amazon too!

It's a total game changer and I'm hoping it means I never have to tape again!

  8. I was hesitant to go without the tape, but the brush really made it easy! I don't feel like I have a super steady hand, but it ended up turning out great.

  11. YES!! I've used this for the past 4 years for cutting in/edgeing & it's my favorite. I don't think I've taped in 4 years!

  14. I have that brush and love it too! Love the short handle, it's so hard to cut in with a long handle!
