I haven't really found much on Craigslist lately, but before we moved I was lucky enough to come across these chairs. Actually I have to give my sister credit. She found them as part of a set on Craigslist and she was willing to part with two of the six chairs.
They work great in my new office flanking my china cabinet. I think I paid $25 for the pair, which I thought was a great deal. I thought about painting them, but I kind of like the wood look. I think I might try applying some gel stain to touch up the more worn areas.
I'm using the botanical prints from our old living room on either side of the china cabinet to help fill up the wall space. I love being able to repurpose things from our old house to make them feel fresh again.
I also found this great bench to use on one side of our dining room table. Our little one has outgrown the highchair so we thought a bench would be much easier for her to climb on and off of. This one happened to the be perfect size too! As you can see, I'm painting it white because the stain was not quite the right color and I think it will blend with our table better this way.

All of these finds are KILLER! Your sister is so nice. Those would have to be pried from my cold, dead fingers... ;) That bench is beautiful, and I so love the botanical prints.
No luck on CL lately for me, glad to see you had some awesome finds. I just bought a similar pillow at Ikea though.

I was pretty excited about both of them. I thought about using some brass ones like I did on my bamboo cart to dress them up a bit. Maybe I'll get around to it one of these days :)
