2014 Favorites

Just popping in with a quick wrap up of my favorite posts of 2014.  I've been meaning to post more, but  lately with the holidays, family time, sporadic toddler napping and lots going on blogging has kid of taken a backseat.  I'm hoping to post more consistently in the new year though.  I have so many projects that I've finished or I'm working on, but I just haven't had a chance to photograph them.  Hopefully you'll stick with me! :)

Here's a little roundup of some of my favorite projects from this year.

I love green and I loved using it on this IKEA rast hack as a part of my mom's bedroom makeover.  In fact, the room is almost finished and I'll *hopefully* be sharing it soon.

My daughter's Minnie Mouse Party was so fun to create.  I've already started planning her party for early next year.  I can hardly believe it!

I still kind of wish this DIY play kitchen was my grown up kitchen.

I loved surprising my sister with this budget room makeover.

I was always intimidated by the thought of painting laminate furniture.  But I realized with the right products it was pretty simple.

Faux Fur and Gold is always a favorite around here.

I love repurposing things (as you can tell) and this planter (made from an old lamp) is still going strong. We are actually using it for a utensil holder in the kitchen now.

I kind of miss our brown dining room.  So glad we decided to take the light with us though!

This IKEA hack has helped keep me somewhat organized.

We are still loving our bamboo shades and can't believe how much bigger they make the room feel.  I'm thinking about adding a blackout lining sometime soon for a little more privacy.

Our new master bedroom got a bold dose of black and we couldn't be happier with the outcome.

If you haven't tried this caramel corn recipe yet, you might want to whip up a batch before any new year's resolutions kick in.  It's a family favorite for sure.

I still feel so honored that I got to participate in the Home Depot Style Challenge.  That has always been a dream of mine!

Thanks so much for sticking with me and taking the time to read this blog, it truly means so much to me.  I hope you all have a happy new year!  We will be welcoming it on the couch with some Redbox movies, a few special desserts from Fresh Market, and our PJ's.  If we are lucky we'll make it past 10. :)

  2. These are all so gorgeous, but I've gotta say I just loved that little play kitchen. I agree, I wish it was my real kitchen too. Happy New Year! I can't wait to read/see all of your (always) creative projects in 2015! =)
