It's hard to believe we are already decorating for fall. It has really snuck up on me this year! First, a huge thank you to Lindsay from The White Buffalo Styling Co. for hosting and putting this all together. I've been fortunate enough to be included in this tour for the past few years and now it just doesn't feel like fall to me until these tours have kicked off. If you have missed some of the tours from the beginning of the week, start here and work your way through. If you are visiting from Place of my Taste, welcome! I'm so glad you have taken the time to stop by and see a peek at our home all dressed for fall.
When I think of fall, I think organic, earthy, and natural with lots of texture. So I tried to incorporate that into our home to make it feel cozy and ready for this season.
For the mantle, I pulled together mostly things I already had and then grabbed a bunch of Eucalyptus from Trader Joe's for a pop of green. I love the way it smells too! The artwork was a simple DIY. I had a few canvases in the garage and I just painted them white and doodled a few circles. I love abstract art because you really can't mess it up!
When we moved into our home last fall, my husband went exploring in the woods and came back with a ton of pinecones because he thought I could use them for one of my projects. He was happy to see them displayed this year!
I grew up with my mom creating the most beautiful table settings, so I love to create one anytime I get the chance. I used a yard and a half of buffalo check fabric from IKEA and just draped it over the table. Buffalo check screams fall to me and I'm always happy to incorporate it into our home.
These would chargers were leftover from my Home Depot Patio Challenge and I love the rustic touch they add.
I still love my Goodwill bamboo dresser. I just switched up the artwork and added some cabbage for a touch of fall in our entryway.
Our bedroom doesn't typically get much in the way of fall decor, but I did add this duvet to the foot of the bed to make it feel a little more cozy. Not to mention I am so cold natured and need a little extra warmth in the winter! You can see more of our bedroom here.
And lastly my daughter needed a touch of fall in her room. A little bit of glue and glitter made this plain pumpkin feel a little more special for her.
Thanks again for stopping by! To keep the fun going, head over to The DIY Playbook to see her home all ready for fall!
